How to Play Addiction Solitaire
Addiction Solitaire is a high-speed sequencing game. Your goal is to use four empty slots to rearrange a shuffled deck into four organized rows, each containing a single suit ordered from 2 to King.
🎯 Objective
Win the game by arranging all four rows in sequence from 2 to King, with each row representing a different suit. You achieve this by moving cards into empty slots created when the Aces are removed from the deck.
Addiction Solitaire Setup
The Layout:
All 52 cards are dealt randomly into 4 rows, with 13 cards in each row. Once dealt, the four Aces are removed from the board, creating four empty slots (gaps) that you use to shift other cards.
The Slots:
The empty slots are the only places cards can be moved. A card can only be placed into a slot if it follows the correct sequencing rules based on the card to the slot's left.
Correct Positioning:
A card is correctly placed if a 2 is at the far left of a row, or if it sits to the right of a card that is one rank lower and of the same suit.
The End Goal:
The game ends when all cards are ordered 2 through King. Note that the 13th spot in each row will naturally remain empty because the Aces are not part of the final sequence.
Addiction Solitaire Rules
Move cards based on the left-hand neighbor.
You can move a card into an empty slot only if the card to the immediate left of that slot is of the same suit and one rank lower. For example, if there is a 4 of Spades to the left of a gap, only the 5 of Spades can be moved there.
Positioning the 2s.
The leftmost slot of any row can only be filled by a 2 of any suit. Once a 2 is placed there, it establishes the suit for that entire row.
Kings create dead ends.
No card can be moved into a slot that is to the right of a King. Because the King is the highest rank in this game, it effectively 'blocks' the slot behind it.
Utilize the Shuffles.
The number of shuffles depends on the difficulty level you choose. In Easy mode, you get 10 shuffles to help you progress. In Medium mode, you have 6 shuffles available. In Hard mode, only 3 shuffles are allowed, so plan each move carefully. When you use a shuffle, only the cards that are not in their correct positions will be randomly rearranged into the remaining open spots.
Aces are removed.
Aces act as the 'gap creators' and are removed from play at the start; they cannot be used to fill slots or build sequences.
Empty slots stay empty.
You cannot move a card into a slot if the space to its left is also an empty slot. You must build sequentially from an existing card.

Strategies to Win Addiction Solitaire
Survey the tableau first.
Before making your first move, look at where the 2s are located and which cards are currently blocked by Kings. Planning a few moves ahead prevents early deadlocks.
Avoid creating 'Dead Slots'.
Try to avoid moving a King into a position where it creates an empty slot to its right, as that slot becomes unusable until the next shuffle.
Prioritize the 2s.
Getting your 2s into the leftmost starting positions as early as possible gives you an anchor to begin building the rest of the suit sequence.
Save your shuffles.
Only use your shuffles when you have absolutely no moves left. Shuffling is a 'reset' for stuck cards, so don't waste them early if a sequence can still be built.
Work on all rows simultaneously.
Focusing on just one row can leave the others in a mess. Try to advance all four sequences evenly to keep your options open.
The Undo Button is your friend.
If you realize a move has blocked a slot with a King, use the undo button to backtrack. Note: You cannot undo a shuffle once it has been executed.
